Enjoy an authentic experience of life on an historic Tuscan farm. Our property in the Mugello area produces organic olive oil made from hand-picked olives which are then cold-pressed in the same way farmers have done for hundreds of years to ensure optimal quality and taste.
From the farmhouse we organize walking tours into the surrounding countryside – you can take a walk through the chestnut forest looking for mushrooms or truffles, or follow in Dante’s footsteps to the ruins of the fortress where the immortal poet found shelter during his exile from Florence. Or maybe take a walk up through an avenue of cypress trees to Trebbio Castle, today a UNESCO World Heritage site, and formerly one of the Medici family’s favourite country villas.
When you return from your walk a delicious lunch based on local produce awaits you, accompanied by a tasting of some of the district’s finest wines!
After lunch and a walk through our olive groves, you will learn how to make olive oil the traditional way.
