Of all the cities in Tuscany, Siena is the one whose medieval city centre is most intact and which still retains a uniquely medieval flavour.
Our tour will take you on a visit to all the city’s most important monuments including the Cathedral and the Palazzo Pubblico (Town Hall) with its famous frescoes of the Allegory of Good and Bad Government. We will also stop in the beautiful central square, Piazza del Campo, where twice a year they hold the world famous horse race “Il Palio” – for the local people it is the most important event of the year!
